Who it suits
People managers opening a first German seat, expansion leads coordinating multi-country teams, and operations staff who translate legal advice into internal process.
Prior employment-law training is helpful but not required. Fluency in English is expected; German legal terms appear with plain-language glosses.
Modules
1. Fact patterns that change the answer
How duration, place of work, and paying entity reshape the consultation before any form is mentioned.
2. Jurisdiction mapping
Layering home-country employment rules against German workplace obligations.
3. Posting mechanics & A1 literacy
What certificates do, what they do not do, and how delays typically appear in practice.
4. Local hire onboarding spine
Employer registrations, contract essentials for internal briefings, and the first-week checklist.
5. Social security & payroll vocabulary
Enough fluency to challenge a vague vendor answer without pretending to be a payroll clerk.
6. Ninety-day operating rhythm
RACI sketches, escalation paths, and a hand-off pack for counsel and tax advisors.

Anja Reuter
Anja designed Systemindexflow’s consultation curriculum after a decade advising expansion teams on German employment operations. She teaches in English from the Landau practice and insists every module name a limitation alongside a recommendation.

FAQ
Does this course replace a German employment lawyer?
No. It prepares you to brief one. You should not rely on course materials as legal advice for a specific filing or dispute.
Is immigration covered?
We outline when residence and work authorization usually intersect with employment setup. We do not teach visa application drafting.
What is a real limitation of the program?
We do not simulate your payroll software or produce signed employment contracts. If your bottleneck is pure document production, a local advisor is the better first call.
How long do I keep access?
Ninety days of module access from enrollment confirmation, plus two office-hour sessions booked within that window.
Participant notes
Module 3 on A1 literacy alone justified the seat. I still wanted more industry-specific examples for logistics fleets.
★★★★★ · Used the ninety-day rhythm worksheet in our GmbH kickoff. Clearer than the binder our prior consultant left behind.
